Fresh Meadows · Est. Neighborhood Bakery & Grocery
Artisan breads, fresh pastries, and thoughtfully sourced groceries — made daily for the community that gathers around our counter.
Our Story
PJ's started as a simple idea: bake honest bread, stock groceries that actually matter, and treat every person who walks through the door like a neighbor. That hasn't changed — not the recipes, not the rhythm of the early mornings, not the commitment to quality.
We source from local farms when we can, bake in small batches throughout the day, and never cut corners on ingredients. The result is something you can taste — in the crust of our sourdough, the flake of our pastry, the freshness of our produce.
What We Offer
Every item on our shelves is chosen with the same care we put into our own baking — quality first, always.
Bakery
Sourdough, ciabatta, focaccia, and seasonal varieties — all baked fresh each morning using traditional methods and long fermentation.
Bakery
Butter croissants, danishes, tarts, and daily specials — layered, flaky, and made from scratch before dawn.
Grocery
Produce, dairy, pantry staples, and specialty items — curated selections that complement what comes out of our oven.
Our Promise
Three principles guide everything we do — from the flour we mill to the smile we offer at the register.
We use real butter, stone-milled flour, and ingredients we can trace back to their source. If it doesn't meet our standard, it doesn't make it onto our shelves.
Our bakers arrive before sunrise so the first loaves hit the counter while they're still warm. We'd rather sell out than sell yesterday's.
This isn't a chain. It's a neighborhood institution. We know our regulars by name, support local farms, and treat every visit like an occasion.
